Hartman Forcep Uses
The Hartman Forcep is an alligator forcep used to grasp and extract foreign bodies or debris and insert or remove ear tubes from the ear canal to perform myringotomy and other ear surgeries.
- Remove foreign objects, such as insects, small beads, seeds, etc.
- Insert or remove sterile dressings and packing in the narrow ear canal.
- Used to insert grommets, remove soft granulation tissue, or small polyps.
- Prevent the surrounding structures or tissues from accidental trauma.
- Grant access and an unobstructed view of the deep ear cavities.
