The Crafoord Clamp is primarily used to occlude the lumen of major blood vessels, especially arteries and veins, temporarily blocking blood flow to stop bleeding and maintain a clear surgical area.

- Grasp, manipulate, or pull back fine tissues within the deep cavities.
- Securely hold blood vessels without crushing or damaging the vessel walls.
- Hold heavy needles or pull robust suture lines through tight anatomical spaces.
